Last weekend, the World's Ugliest Dog Contest was held in California, and the winner was a slobbery sweetheart English bulldog named Zsa Zsa:

1. Elwood, the winner of the 20007 competition:

This scruffy Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix inspired the children's book, Everyone Loves Elwood.

2. Rascal, who competed in 2015:

Rascal is also a Chinese Crested.

3. Chase, who placed third last year:

Chase , a Chinese Crested-Harke mix, came from the UK to compete.

4. Josie, who came in third this year:

She's also a Chinese Crested mix.

5. Martha, the 2017 champ, and a fellow competitor, Precious:

Martha is a Neopolitan mastiff.

6. Daisy, from the 2012 competition:

At the time of the contest, Daisy was a 9-year-old Pug.

7. Josie, also from 2012:

She was a 3-year-old Chinese Crested at the time of the competition.

8. Mouse, also from 2012:

This 6-year-old Chihuahua competed with Josie and Daisy.

9. Handsome Hector, from 2012:
